Where it all started for Goku, Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. The Dragon Ball Anime actually released 30 years ago, but still holds up well today. An unstoppable train, since the release of the Dragon Ball Manga later adapted for the anime. Going from strength to strength it was destined for greatness and that applies to both the series’ and Goku himself.

First timers will see why it became a worldwide franchise, primarily due to its versatility. Dragon Ball does an excellent job of combining humour with epic battles and some really cool characters. All adding up to the perfect recipe, one that barely needed altering as it progressed. Do not forget to watch the Dragon Ball Movies as they are relevant too. Follow a young Goku on his adventures to become the strongest fighter in all the land!

The manga created by Akira Toriyama, is the man behind it all including DBZ and Dragon Ball Super. The first 16 volumes of the manga adapted for Dragon Ball Anime. The remaining volumes adapted for the Dragon Ball Z Anime. The Japanese version of the anime slightly edges the English version due to its uncensored episodes. The fights are brutal, bloody, and gory and it is absolutely amazing to watch.

Even to this day the designs in the Dragon Ball Anime look beautiful. When it was originally released it was definitely ahead of its time. You will see familiar names, the likes of which include Master Roshi, Bulma, Krillin, Yamcha and much more. If you are an anime lover then undoubtedly you have to own this series. The franchise is still going strong today so make you sure you catch up with the DBZ anime or Manga.
