Images in this review - Reviewed in the United States on December 19, 2013It's an amazing amalgam of the budokai series shin budokai and burst limits best mechanics. It's both accessible and moderately deep gameplay will keep you playing. This game definitely deserves an hd remake. It pushes the ps2 to its limits with the explosive moves and transformations. A must have for DBZ fans and fighting games fans alike.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 21, 2021while it arrived fast and the game is a little playable, its very difficult and the fun is kinda taken out of it because of the bugs that came with my copy. case and manual was in good condition but disk had bad scratches on it. and when played it always cuts out the music after 30 secs and takes 5 minutes to load in to menu. then when in story mode music cuts out randomly and sound effects delay severly for long periods. then when transforming it will freeze the game kinda for 2 to 3 minutes with the music cutting in out repeatedly. i fear my copy was not handled properly before being sent out and now i dont think it is fully playable since these bugs are occurring without breaks with the only time the game being fine is in the hub world and menu. sadly i think its gonna completely freeze while im playing or something bad to the point of not being able to progress or play. hopefully others have gotten theirs in better condition but I can't fully recommend since mine came severely scratched and bugged.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 16, 2009I'm a big fan of Dragonball Z and, as you can tell by my reviews, I get pretty much any DBZ game that comes out. When I found out that Infinite World was coming out on the PS2, I was kind of skeptical at first of looking into it but decided to get it because of its' low price. After playing it, all I can say is it is a somewhat fun diversion for a little while but I wouldn't call it the best in the Budokai series.
Why? Well, the fighting has been watered down greatly compared to previous games. Gone are the beam battles and over the top power moves. The arenas that you fight in aren't anything new, mostly arenas you've seen before in past Budokai games. You can still modify your character by editing his or her skills as well as tranform and whatnot. Dragon Mission serves as the game's story mode but leaves quite a bit to be desired, I'm afraid. The minigames and missions just aren't that fun to me. There are two other modes: Dragon Duel is a versus mode where you can challenge a second player or the computer, and the unlockable Fighter's Road has you fighting with more than 100 combatants to unlock and take down across four maps. Still, it doesn't make up for the fact that this game is mildly entertaining.
For this to be DBZ's last hurrah on the Playstation 2, it's a shame that it didn't go out with alot more glory. As much as I want to recommend this game to any DBZ fan, all I can advise is to rent it first and then decide. You might feel differently than I do about its' content. I can think of alot more I could've did with my money....like get Dragonball Origins.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 9, 2020I Have been missing this game from my Dragon Ball Z collection for the longest time and now I have it again I'm very pleased with how great it looks the case and manual are in very good condition and the disc is also in great shape thank you very much.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 14, 2010Dragonball Z Infinite world is NOT a particular game of choice, firstly it was released....after budokai tenkaichi 3 right? but! so far i have not found the following characters in this game. (I have beaten story mode) The following characters have not been found: Tapion(a hero from a movie), Bojak(Space pirate) his blue friend that is a girl, Android 13/super android 13 (Movie android) cell jr., uub, not sure who else.
The graphics are excellent! the intro...well actually alot of dbz budokai game intros arent that great I'd say dbz budokai tenkaichi 1 still has the best intro scene. Can't choose pre-transformed characters (ex. Vegito, Gogeta, Super Buu (Gohan absorbed) like in dbz budokai tenkaichi 3 (lessens the fun) and if you use fusion their is a time limit to where you have to re fuse because the fusion will end except for gogeta.
If you transform into a super saiyan on for example goku you can't transform back to normal form like in budokai tenkaichi 3, you do not throw an automatic super move you have to hit your opponent(they can easily dodge your attack), if you shoot ki blasts you cannot do an attack like kamehame till a bit after the ki blasts end and your opponent can easily dodge the kamehameha.
very limited area to move and not a split screen. I have played DBZ Budokai 3 (not tenkaichi), and i have to say this game is very similar to it except the graphics. i think kid buu looks the same from that one. Not very many combos you can do. The game seems like it was released way to early. The enemy comps that you fight just keep powering up a little bit then use the blue aurora to shield themselves and use you as a ping pong ball because you cant hurt them.
Summoning the dragon is pointless i did it once and there was pretty lame wishes so i didn't do it again.

Game is defective. Literally doesn't even play the opening intro. Seriously, do you guys not test this stuff before you send it out?
